Panniers for the push bike

It took a while, but I have added another little something to my collection.  I had a push bike.  In fact, I had three, but two I had used to make an old fashioned bread delivery cart with in 2011 as it needed three wheels.  This one I had kept for myself and will use to park in front of my florist.  Good old Dutch push bikes have panniers, because most people go to the shops on their bikes, so this one needed a set too.

I bought the kit at the German Dollshouse fair in Rheda-Wiedenbrueck, also in 2011, and finally got around to putting it together.  Here's the result:

The kit came with instructions and the panniers weren't hard to put together, but the instructions could have been more detailed. Personally I have enough experience by now to use my imagination, but left out was the description as how to put the buckles on so they can be undone.  On the other hand, there was enough material, which in some cases can be a bit of a problem if something doesn't quite work out.

And remember the garden seats I showed you earlier in the year?  That's going to be a workshop this month at our dollshouse and miniatures club.

That's all for now...

Something for the garden

My updates are few and far between nowadays, but mini still exists in my life!  As we have entered another year I would like to wish all my followers (whom I have neglected a fair bit!) a

Happy and Healthy New Year

Recently I picked up some of the magazines that I had received some two years ago, but never looked at, because I wasn't quite in the mood for miniatures.  However, I enjoyed once again leafing through them and I cam across an adorable seat for the garden.  I decided to make it for myself and would see if it would be good for a workshop for our miniatures club.  Well, I think it will, and I will take the sample to the next meeting for people to have a look at and decide.

I forgot to take step-by-step pictures, but here's the finished product:

I don't know if my dollshouse will ever have a garden, but I don't care, I just loved making this, and I am sure I will be able to display it somewhere...
